“You can’t depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.” – Mark Twain
Understanding what to focus on corporately is one of the great qualities of a truly athletic company. Our focus is pretty straight forward:
Our long-term corporate goal is to become the lifestyle media company of choice for the iPad generation.
Along the way we’ve decided to fund our venture by becoming the tool maker of choice for thoughtful publishers of Social content. Our first tool, the Interest Server, helps Social publishers gracefully gather, filter and share the best content on the web.
As you might imagine, we are actively working to build a business model around this goal, and it is fueled by a simple observation, a thesis that we hope to prove:
We’re confident that the future of all media is expertly curated, highly personalized, and amazingly accessible .
As a publisher, we work with brands to deliver advertorial content to our magazines’ many cultural audiences. We also help e-commerce retailers find new customers and sell niche products, while partnering with media companies to present their “evergreen” content in new and interesting ways.
We have huge ambitions. We admire what Conde Nast has achieved in the print magazine business, and we plan to do the same for the social magazine space what Gawker and Sugar Publishing accomplished in blogging.
